Losing That Baby Weight May Hurt The Body, Study Warns

A new study has found that mothers who crash diet and exercise too soon could be doing a great deal to their own bodies, as well as their new babies.
According to the results of the study, mothers who do not each a proper diet of proteins, minerals, and take prenatal vitamins already run the risk of losing their breast milk, or passing on non-nutritious milk to their new infant.
They also risk losing elasticity in their skin, ruining their tone, and increasing stretchmarks, which will remain on the body for the rest of their lives.
But there is even more disturbing news for those mommies who decide to hop right back on the treadmill. Exercising too soon, especially within the first six weeks, of giving birth may lead to a vaginal prolapse. This condition means that the uterus actually moves down, falling lower and causing a great deal of pain and damage to the reproductive areas.
Doctors suggest that instead of trying to lose the baby fat first thing out of the delivery room, they take a few weeks to relax, eat plenty of healthy food (increasing the calories by at least 300 – 500 more per day), and once they feel ready doing moderate workouts, like yoga.
Just get the doctor’s OK first.
