Kirstie Alley is obese again
Celebrities and weight are always two very hot topics, but there is one woman who has reinvented herself more often then Madonna during her relevant years. That woman is Kirstie Alley, and her current metamorphosis is as a fat, attention seeking butterfly.
That assessment may seem harsh to some, and I must admit I nearly surprised myself with the comment, but come on. Are we really that interested in a woman who hasn’t had the limelight since ‘Cheers’ was canceled? Are we so desperate for gossip that we are thinking about looking to the actress of the ever so campy ‘Look Who’s Talking’ movies to satisfy our hunger for entertainment?
Apparently so, and she has been expecting us, my friends. Or so her appearance on Oprah would suggest. To be fair, this isn’t the first time Kirstie has been on the talk show hero’s daytime show to discuss her weight. She was just there a year or so ago, flaunting her once again average-sized body in a bikini, a sight that I never wanted to see, fat or thin.
Now, she is once again talking to Oprah about her recent weight gain, and how humiliated she is that she has “let everyone down” who was inspired by her initial weight loss. It’s a sad affair after her last appearance, when she was so eager to talk about how she would never put the pounds back on. I would make a comment about ‘eating her words’, but perhaps it would be too cruel.
