Rosemarie Batey, a 49-year-old woman from Durham, England, has to be rescued after she was trapped in her bathtub.
The woman, who weighs an approximate 265-lbs., was taking a bath when a crack gave way and opened further, trapping her within the tub. She called for help, but her 23-year-old son has been asleep, and did not hear her cries until the morning, after she had been stuck for over five hours.
“I was standing under the shower and I had my left foot up to wash it when I heard a great big crack and away I went,” she explained in an interview with the Durham England Chronicle.
“I started falling and then slipped on all the shower cream. It all happened so quick, but I managed to turn the shower off as I fell. My legs went from underneath me. My back was wedged against the wall and I was stuck.”
Her son called the police, and a group of firefighters were sent to rescue her. They were forced to use a saw to cut her out of the tub, and cover her with a shower curtain to spare her humiliation, an experience that Rosemarie describes as ‘humiliating’.
However, she says that the incident has sparked her desire to do something about her weight, and she has vowed to lose 98-lbs. She is currently working hard to change her lifestyle, and lose the weight, probably thanks to our recommended diet pills.
