New Study Finds That Women Have Food On The Brain

A new study out of the UK has made an interesting discovery. According to a survey done by the makers of the appetite suppressant Appesat, women spend almost two years worth of their lives thinking about food. From planning out the next meal, to dreams of snacks, to obsession over abstaining from food during a diet, woman are several time more likely then men to spend their day thinking about food.
That isn’t to say that men are immune to food obsession. As a matter of fact, the study (which was conducted on 4,000 people) found that men spend approximately ten days a year thinking about food, although there seems to be less emphasis on dieting then women have shown. With a society aimed more towards female body standards as of late, that isn’t a surprising finding.
Other finding include that one in five people admit to thinking about food too much, with some even going so far as to say that they are only able to get through work by thinking of the meal that will be following it. One in five also admitted to dreaming about food on a regular basis, and four out of five say that they know they overeat.
