Woman Loses Weight But Gains A Leg

It was a shocking day when Judy Stanley, at nearly 300 pounds, found out that her Type 2 Diabetes had finally cost her a limb. Her leg was going to have to be amputated, but even that fact was not enough to get her to look realistically at her situation, and her dangerous weight. In fact, it wasn’t until several years later that she finally decided that enough was enough, and that it was time she did something about this bane on her life.
Then at 280 pounds, Judy began a strict diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, and lacking the sugars and fats she had used to so enjoy thanks to the help of appetite suppressants and diet pills for women. Now, at 112 pounds lighter, she feels like a new woman. She has even had to get eleven separate re-castings for her prosthetic leg, a constant reminder as to her difficult journey, and the incredible battle she has one.
She is now happier, healthier, and much more comfortable. The pressure on that is placed against where her prosthetic meets her thigh is much less now, and so much less painful then it was before. She is a new woman, and though it cost her a leg before she was able to drop the weight, she has finally gained her life back.
